Spyker C8
Recently had the chance to shoot another Spyker, this time around it was a C8 spyder.
Special thanks to Bernie Moreno and Mark Thomas of Spyker Cleveland.
Enjoy

First of all I just wanted to send a huge THANKS to Carlo for letting me shoot his car, and for letting me use his forester. I’ve seen a lot of really cool cars in my time, but I’ve yet to see something with this much character. This Subaru doesn’t scream for attention with its in your face body parts or extravagant body art. But instead it successfully draws your attention with its simple styling. Think of it as that guy at a party who doesn’t need to act like a buffoon to get people’s attention, he too cool for that. It’s his simple yet cool and calm swagger that attracts attention… this is the car that guy drives.
First thing you will notice is that Carlo kept the World Rally Blue and gold color combo, for me this is the only color combo a Subaru should ever have. Those gold wheels are 19 inch Advan RS’s wrapped in 255/35 Bridgestone rubbers. Out back your eyes will quickly feast on the S203 wing found from previous special Subaru models. The car is lowered on KW coilovers, invida exhaust, Subaru exhaust trims and rear diffuser. In the front, is a beautiful custom made carbon fiber front lip that Carlo himself designed and the interior is kept pretty much stock, except for the greddy turbo timer, a spt boost gauge, sti pedals and my favorite piece ever a DAMD steering wheel.
This car is still very much in its infancy stage, I can’t wait to see what it will be like a year from now. Definitely will take updated photos when I’m back in the Philippines next year.
Until then…
Thank you again to Carlo and the entire Subaru Society Family back in the Philippines. See you soon.
